For small size to 1/2”, SAE100R7 is made of 1wire steel wire reinforcement, and up to 5/8”, SAE100R17 is made of 2wire steel wire reinforcement for higher pressure application. It is recommend for application such as petroleum based hydraulic fluid transfer, and a more flexibility is require, as R17 have tighter bend radius and good impulse cycles.
Performance
Exceeds SAE 100R17 requirements and Performance requirements of EN 857 1SC. The hose has smaller exterior dimensions and significantly tighter bend radius than other SAE 100 R1 and SAE 100 R2 hose.
